Team Leader - Production at Charleston

JOB SUMMARY

 

Ensure team member safety and competency, and that production requirements are met by all team members.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Understand and comply with all OSHA, safety and PPE requirements;

Ensure that all team members:

Know and adhere to safety requirements for all areas

Follow Standardized Work Instructions.

Perform Quality Checks and Inspections.

Perform process checks/inspections

Perform safety audits.

Identify and correct machine malfunction and/or notify other departments of major issues immediately.

Apply Production Escalation Process as required.

Identify and respond to quality issues via appropriate procedures.

Ensure all product containers that include the following are labeled and/or stored in proper locations at all times.

Finished goods

WIP

Scrap

Non-conforming material

Ensure that the non-conforming product process is followed at all times to provide proper containment.

Ensure operational performance targets are met.

Perform 5S audits.

Develop ideas for Kaizen and participate in implementation.

Backfill when necessary at other workstations.

Optimize all jobs

Assist with all die and coil changes, and quality checks

Train and cross-train team members

Assist with new setup, troubleshooting problem jobs and set-up sheet verification for all jobs.

Support team functions by:

Kaizen submittal and implementation

Cross-training with others

Backfills other work stations as needed

Problem solving

Supports operational metrics and meets operational needs

Follow communication procedures per Gestamp standards.

Perform other assigned duties as deemed necessary or appropriate.

High school diploma or GED

Follow standardized work instructions

Lift up to 50 lbs; 25 overhead

Previous manufacturing experience

Follow safety procedures

Manual dexterity

 

Basic robotics skills
