Responsibilities Include:

 

• Act as a lead mechanic performing or assisting in all phases of construction, start-up, operation and maintenance of equipment within gas compressor stations.
• Preventative and corrective field mechanical maintenance, troubleshooting, repairing, and overhauling of gas compressors, engines and auxiliary equipment including valves, pumps, injectors, etc.
• Direct, coordinate, and assist with scheduled and unscheduled equipment repairs and maintenance.
• Lead, train and mentor other mechanics as required.
• Maintain safe operation of equipment and safety of crew as a top priority.  Knowledge of and adherence to pertinent environmental policies.

Job Requirements

• 5-10 years experience with large industrial-sized gas engines and compressors, preferably those running on natural gas. 
• Waukesha Engine, Caterpillar Engine, Ariel Compressor and GE Compressor certifications and experience highly preferred.
• Prior experience as a Mechanic with Natural Gas Compressor Station engines and compressors.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Possesses expertise of new compressor technologies and comprehensive mechanical, diagnostic and analytical skills.
• Must be computer literate with MS Office proficiency.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Must have a clean driving record.
