Linux Systems Administrator **Current FBI Secret clearance or DoD Top Secret clearance or higher required*** Will perform hardware and software systems administration and network administration for computer resources along with the following tasks: Support the install, setup, configuration, integration of each environment. Provide expert guidance on how to improve the current release deployment, and release updates. Supports debug efforts to resolve environment and system issues. . Document configuration procedures and provide documentation on how to install and configure future SW releases and COTs versions. Assist test team in day-to-day running of system and functional tests. This includes but not limited to running test procedures, writing PRs, verifying PRs, updating test procedures, providing detail lab status, and updating test lab logs. The environment will utilize Linux workstations and servers with test interfaces with the primary development language being Java. Required Skills: At least 10 years of professional System Integration/System Administration experience. A complete understanding of the full SW/Test development life cycle. Expertise in Red Hat Linux. Expertise in JBOSS.Install, configure, and support an organizations local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), and Internet system or a segment of a network system. Maintain network hardware and software. Monitor network to ensure network availability to all system users and perform necessary maintenance to support network availability. May supervise other network support and client server specialists and plan, coordinate, and implement network security measures. Technologies used may include: Administration software (CiscoWorks; HP Network Node Manager; Network management software; SolarWinds software), Configuration management software (Application management software; Automated installation software; Microsoft Windows Sysprep; Patch and update management software), Network monitoring software (Dartware InterMapper; Ethereal; VERITAS NerveCenter; ZABBIX software), Network security or virtual private network VPN management software (Intrusion prevention system IPS software; Network and system vulnerability assessment software; OpenService Open NerveCenter; Security incident management software), Transaction security and virus protection software (Encryption software; Packet filter software; Ping software; Root kit detection software).
