A Fortune 500 clientis seekinga Desktop Support Analystfor6 month contract role in West Virginia

JOB DESCRIPTION / DUTIES:

Provide Level 1 desktop support via Service Desk (remote problem analysis and resolution).

Provide Level 2 desktop field support directly onsite for client problem resolution. Ensure compliance of desktop and laptop PCs with IT standard configurations and procedures. Utilize MS Windows Server administration tools to resolve client issues. Swap out or maintain desktop or laptop PC hardware, software, components or peripherals. Troubleshoot PC operating systems. Utilize software distribution tools and standard desktop support tools. Become familiar with specific Business Unit environments.
QUALIFICATIONS: Associate?s or BA/BS degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience providing desktop support or Help Desk services. Excellent interpersonal skills and basic computer support are required for this position. Strong analytical skills to resolve problems and think creatively. Organizational skills to prioritize and plan work, multi-task and meet schedules. Highly motivated to work independently and productively. Sound time management skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to make formal presentations to various audiences. Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team. Willingness to undertake assignments involving unfamiliar subjects, with the aptitude to learn quickly. Ability to rapidly learn new skills, apply them to work situations and expand job capabilities. Ability to work in a virtual environment (working with remote co-workers using virtual technologies). Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office tools including Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
