Civil & Environmental Consultants (CEC) is an employee-owned geoscience, environmental and engineering consulting firm. As a CEC GIS Analyst, you will provide technical and analytic support for our diverse consulting practice. You will work closely with project managers, scientists, and field personnel to develop map products and manage data across many of our project disciplines. You’ll generate maps for permitting reports, such as environmental impact and wetland delineation maps, and manage associated information in GIS databases. You will work with data in a variety of formats, including CAD and GPS, and must be a “self-starter" to troubleshoot issues and develop solutions in a fast-paced environment.

Job Requirements

• B.S. in Geography/GIS or related experience.
• 1-2 years’ experience implementing projects using ESRI software version 9.3 or 10.x products including ArcView, ArcEditor, and ArcInfo. ArcGIS Server, VB or C#, SQL, or Flex skills a plus.
• Primary duties include Global Positioning Systems (GPS) data processing, GIS/CAD data manipulation, map production, database design and maintenance. Web and/or desktop programming experience is a plus.
• Candidate must have excellent communication skills, demonstrate reliability, a strong work ethic, be detail-oriented, and perform work accurately in a team oriented environment.
• Individual will be responsible for organizing and processing large amounts of environmental data.
